Confused about whether to buy PP or PES AVENT bottles? And after all they're both BPA Free, so what's the difference?
Becoming a parent for the first time is an exciting experience, but you can't help but feel overwhelmed with the amount of information/advice available. Hopefully the following brief but informative guide should cast some light on the subject.

What is BPA?
Bisphenol A, also known as BPA is a chemical used to make certain types of plastics. It is thought that if consumed BPA can be harmful, especially throughout the early stages of development. It can interfere with healthy growth and body functions.Babies are particularly vulnerable to this damage.

What is the difference between AVENT'S Polyethersulfone (PES) & Polypropylene (PP) Bottles?
Both PP and PES bottles are BPA-free and are clinically proven to help prevent colic and reduce fussing at night.

*Polyethersulphone (PES) is an extremely durable material that has a natural honey-colored tint and has an anti colic valve. Its high quality means that it is heat-resistant, stain-resistant and impact resistant. Bottles made of this material are highly durable. In addition the PES bottle has bottle has only a few parts and is therefore easy to clean.

*Polypropylene (PP) is a more plyable material that has a milky hue. Philips AVENT bottles made of this material come with an additional adaptor ring to ensure the unique skirt on the teat always fits the ring of the bottle, guaranteeing the anti-colic feature.
